Tata, a baroque Hungarian town known for its outstanding natural landscape and rich cultural life, was the beautiful setting for the Hungary ASI Convention held from October 23-25, 2008. The convention was a great success, with well over 40 people attending. The themes were ‘Connection; Greater Knowledge and Action’

In the connection part, the participants willingly shared inspiring testimonies with each other. Prayers were said and free evangelistic books were distributed in the city. Inspiring messages were given by Pastors Szilvasi and Ordog as they encouraged the listeners to enter into a closer relationship with Jesus. One of the much appreciated speakers at the convention was Kris Lennart, a literature evangelist from nearby Austria. Kris’s enthusiasm shone through as he challenged the convention delegates to step out in faith for Christ. He supported his appeals with inspiring, personal testimonies and thought provoking seminars. Kris’s presentations motivated everyone to action.

Part of that action was seen in the decision taken by ASI Hungary to support a 15 different mission projects. For that purpose, a budget of just under 16,000 Euros was voted. Much progress was also made in getting two lay mission programmes under way: New Beginnings and Youth for Jesus.

God is doing great things through His people in Hungary and ASI Hungary wants to always be at the heart of this important work of outreach to souls that are hungry for the Bread of life.
